A Word From Leah

My three day intensive was very enlightening and opened up some very needed insight into the problems in my life. Leah was very knowledgeable and helpful to walk me through what got me to where I am today and how to start working on the repairs I need. I am so thankful for my time spent with her!  –  John, age 47

Leah put me at ease and helped me relax. I think my intensive with her was worth every penny!  –  Erin, age 43

Hear from Leah: When you come to therapy, you’re wanting answers. You’re wanting a therapist to not only sit with you in the process, but someone who can clearly direct you through that process. I get all of that! This is one reason I pursued the advanced training of Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT). I work with all members of the family affected by sexual addiction or sexual betrayal trauma. My style is direct and supportive. My clients often reflect that they appreciate my straight-shooting way of communicating.

I love working with adult men and women facing all kinds of issues including: trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, unwanted sexual behavior, pornography addiction, sex and love addiction, betrayal trauma, codependence, affair recovery, spiritual issues, family of origin issues, postpartum issues, and more. I especially enjoy working with other therapists. I am a supervisor for provisionally licensed therapists (LAC) as well as for specialized therapists pursuing their higher certification as a CSAT and/or CPTT.

Group based therapy is an extremely impactful approach to treating unwanted sexual addiction. Our clinic provides men’s sexual addiction recovery group and a women’s betrayal trauma recovery group.

I draw from several theories of psychotherapy including family systems theories, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), brain based therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and attachment science. I use Brainspotting with clients when desired. I am also able to discuss issues from an explicitly Christian perspective if the client wishes.

***At The Finding Place Counseling, we believe therapy should fit you, not the other way around. Every treatment plan is thoughtfully personalized to your unique needs. For many clients, traditional 60 minute sessions provide the support they need. However, others—especially couples, those traveling far, or clients navigating more complex concerns—may highly benefit from longer sessions, therapy intensives, or group therapy. That’s why we offer a range of options, including 60 minute sessions, extended therapy sessions (90 minutes to 2 hours), weekend therapy intensives (1, 2, or 3 day formats), and group therapy for both men and women. By carving out intentional, uninterrupted time, you create the space to lean fully into therapy, explore your story more deeply, and experience meaningful, lasting change.

Experience Restoration & Freedom

Many people don’t get the results they want from therapy because insurance and standard session lengths get in the way of treating root issues.

The Finding Place Counseling in Little Rock, AR is a private counseling center that offers custom therapy intensives to help clients quickly achieve breakthroughs on the road to restoration and freedom.
