Hear from Leah: When you come to therapy, you’re wanting answers. You’re wanting a therapist to not only sit with you in the process, but someone who can clearly direct you through that process. I get all of that! This is one reason I pursued the advanced training of Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT). I work with all members of the family affected by sexual addiction or betrayal trauma. My style is direct and supportive. My clients often reflect that they appreciate my straight-shooting way of communicating.
I love working with adult men and women facing all kinds of issues including: trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, couple’s counseling, unwanted sexual behavior, pornography addiction, sex and love addiction, betrayal trauma, codependence, affair recovery, spiritual issues, family of origin issues, postpartum issues, and more. I especially enjoy working with other therapists. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and LAC Supervisor.
I draw from several theories of psychotherapy including family systems theories, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), brain based therapy, polyvagal theory, and attachment science. I use Brainspotting with clients when desired. I am also able to discuss issues from an explicitly Christian perspective if the client wishes.
